You Need These for Home Workouts

After nearly a year of COVID-19 lockdowns, we've gotten pretty used to recreating our favorite gym spaces right at home. But bulky workout equipment and fancy machines may not be within our budgets or fit into our homes. While many good workouts can be done just about anywhere, a designated workout space will inspire you to adopt a healthy lifestyle and get fit!

Simple workout tools can be found virtually anywhere, and you don't need to be a personal trainer to figure them out, so ditch your monthly gym membership and delete that workout app. Here are 5 great tools anyone can add to their home workout!

Yoga Mat

A yoga mat is one of the most versatile and helpful workout tools out there. Its soft feel and non-slip grip turn any surface into your next exercise room. But you don't need to immediately enroll in a bunch of virtual Pilates and yoga classes to use this vital piece of exercise equipment. Yoga mats can assist you with any part of your fitness routine!

Before you start your cardio workout, it’s a good idea to warm up with some squats, pushups, lunges, and a plank position to get your heart pumping. Your yoga mat will be with you every step of the way, cheering you on!

Jump Rope

After you've done some core exercises and muscle stretches, you're ready for a blood-pumping cardio workout. But maybe you don't have access to an expensive treadmill or elliptical. The good news is you can get just as rigorous a workout with a simple jump rope!

Transport yourself back to your playground days and complete your home gym with an affordable jump rope. Jumping rope for just one minute can burn a whopping 10 calories! You'll feel the burn in your leg muscles, and jumping rope is also a great workout for your abs.

Dumbbell

Never skip arm day again! A dumbbell is another relatively affordable tool that is crucial for a good at-home workout. These handheld weights are offered in a variety of sizes, so you can customize your bodyweight workout exactly how you choose, then work up to heavier dumbbells as you get stronger.

Getting in a few bodyweight squats, or tricep or bicep curls while watching TV or in between completing chores around the house is an excellent form of strength training that you can do without having to dedicate time to go to the gym. Healthy arms and completed to-do lists, here you come!

Arm Stretcher

After you've completed your bodyweight exercises, it's time to see how far you can stretch those limbs to get the full effect of your workout. An arm stretcher or resistance band can be used to stretch all areas of your body. This is another great exercise to incorporate while you go about your daily chores that will improve your flexibility.

And a few reps using your hands or feet to pull apart the resistance band is a great way to build back, chest, and glute muscles, which, in turn, helps contribute to weight loss.

GEO Sports Water Bottle

No at-home workout is complete without proper hydration. If you aren't staying adequately hydrated, the work you put into your body may all be for nothing. It is vitally important to ensure you are drinking enough water and eating healthy foods to really get the benefits of your fitness routine.

A GEO Sports Water Bottle is the perfect workout buddy. Its stainless-steel body and durable cap are leak-free, ensuring your water stays secure and cold throughout your entire workout. The bottle’s advanced materials keep cold beverages cold for up to 24 hours and hot beverages warm for up to 6 hours, so grab your GEO bottle and begin your home workout!

Become your own personal trainer the smart and affordable way by creating your own workout studio at home. The perfect workout routine doesn't mean you have to drop thousands of dollars on fancy workout machinery or pricey gym memberships. Finding a routine that works for you begins with simple equipment and fitness activities that fit your unique abilities. And what better place to explore your full fitness potential than from the comfort of your own home!
