While the Geo reusable water bottle is designed to be a companion on any adventures, there are a few things that you should never expose your stainless steel bottle to.

How to Clean Your Geo Bottle
The body of the Geo stainless steel water bottle should be washed with warm soapy water. In order to thoroughly clean it, a baby bottle brush is recommended to reach deep within the bottle. If a bottle brush is unavailable, simply let the bottle soak in warm soapy water and thoroughly rinse the inside and outside of the bottle. Air drying or using a clean cloth to dry the bottle is ideal.
The cap of your bottle gets the most action and exposure to bacteria. The cap provides a tight seal to prevent any leaks or spills but may keep moisture that creates a rich environment bacteria, so a clean cap is just as important as a clean bottle. To ensure that your bottle continues to deliver clean water, the cap should be cleaned often.
To wash the cap, use warm water (not too hot) and dish soap to thoroughly sanitize the interior and exterior of the cap. Scrub or soak in warm soapy water and allow it to air dry.
While Geo bottles can be put in the dishwasher, we do not recommend it. The heat from the dishwasher may potentially damage the exterior of the bottle and ruin the powder coating, dulling the vibrant color. It is best to skip the dishwasher when cleaning your Geo reusable bottle and only hand wash the bottle to ensure years of use.
If you're on the go, white vinegar is a natural disinfectant and can be used to sanitize the interior of the Geo reusable bottle. After a solution of water and white vinegar is poured into the bottle, just let it sit for a few minutes and swirl the solution within the bottle. Thoroughly rinse the bottle with cool or warm water and let air dry before pouring your favorite hot or cold beverage.
If your bottle so happens to have a stubborn stain, a simple paste made of baking soda and water will take on the toughest stains. When baking soda and water have been mixed to create a paste, a toothbrush or brush with gentle bristles can be used to gently scrub the stain. When the stain has been removed just simply rinse and let air dry.
Either bleach or chlorine can damage your bottle and cause rusting when in contact, which can present an issue when pure water or other beverages come into contact with the rust.
How to Store Your Geo Bottle
Along with not placing a Geo reusable water bottle in a dishwasher, it also should not be placed in a freezer. Placing a Geo reusable water bottle in a freezer will not affect the content within the bottle. To make your favorite beverage cold, simply place ice cubes inside the stainless steel bottle.

From a chilling cold environment to a sweating hot environment, your Geo water bottle should not be placed directly onto heat or an open flame. Besides damaging the coating of the water bottle, the extreme heat will damage and ruin the integrity of the bottle. In order to heat water or create your favorite hot beverages, simply boil/heat the liquid in a separate container and then pour it into your Geo water bottle. The double-wall vacuum maintains hot beverages at the ideal temperature for hours on end, so pouring the hot content into the bottle is all that is needed to have your hot tea or coffee on hand for hours on end.
Follow these simple dos and don'ts for a long-lasting Geo Stainless Steel Water Bottle that is ready to tackle whatever the day might hold for you! Whether you need a durable bottle for pure hydration during your daily commute or a bottle to stand up against any tough terrain, Geo Bottles has you covered.
